The working fluid is held at the bottom of the main body. The combined drain/fill plug is located at the bottom of the housing. To check the oil level, remove the internal filler plug when the transmission fluid is at a temperature of 50 - 60°C (122 - 140°F). If oil drips from the plug hole, the level is correct.
The transmission is equipped with a transmission fluid cooler located on the left (LH) end of the radiator. The cooler is connected to the transmission torque converter housing by 2 pipelines. The fluid cooler is connected to the engine cooling system and cools the transmission fluid by transferring heat from the coolant to the engine coolant.
