WARNING: Make sure the remote control is in the original socket while the vehicle is being towed. Removing the remote control from the socket locks the steering column lock, preventing the vehicle from being steered properly.
If the engine is not running while the vehicle is being towed, then the power steering and brake booster are not working. As a result, you will have to apply increased efforts to steering or braking, which will significantly increase the braking distance.
WARNING: The vehicle should only be towed with all four wheels on the ground. Towing with two wheels on the ground causes serious damage to the transmission.
The car is allowed to be towed for a distance of not more than 80 km at a speed not exceeding 80 km/h. Towing longer distances or at higher speeds can cause serious damage to the transmission.
NOTE: The recommended method of evacuation is by trailer or tow truck.
Attach the tow hitch to the front towing eye of the vehicle being towed.
Insert the remote control into the launch control module and turn on the ignition by pressing the start/stop button once.
NOTE: Leaving the ignition on for an extended period will drain the battery.
Press the brake pedal and move the selector lever to the position "N". Without releasing the brake pedal, release the parking brake. If the selector is not powered, the emergency release lever on the selector can be used to release the lock solenoid.
The car is allowed to be towed for a distance of not more than 80 km at a speed not exceeding 80 km/h.
Stop the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Apply the parking brake and move the selector lever to the "R".
Switch off the ignition and remove the remote control from the socket.
WARNING: The vehicle must not be towed in reverse.
