Deployment of the frontal airbag (Freelander 2)

WARNING: If the front airbags have deployed, the following components must be replaced:

• Driver Airbag Module
• Steering wheel
• Passenger Airbag Module
• Dashboard
• Additional wires (only if they are installed), connecting the front airbags to the SRS harnesses
• All seat belt pretensioners
• All seats occupied at the time of the accident must have their seat belts replaced
• Any seat belt whose pretensioner has deployed should be replaced
• Rotary contactor
• Any of the front impact sensors if it shows signs of physical damage or if a malfunction has been registered
• RCM

In addition, it is necessary to check the condition of the following components and, if necessary, replace them:

• Tensioner (inertial coil) front passenger seat belt - check the condition of the belt, buckle lock, attachment points to the body
• Rear seat belt anchorages - check the condition of the belts, decorative buckle covers, attachment points to the body and the operation of the buckle locks
• Front seat frame and head restraints
• Steering column - for violations of adjustment and "folding" columns
• Shoulder belt adjusters
• Rear seat belts
