HD tuner module

NOTE: If a unit or component is likely to fail and the vehicle is still under manufacturer's warranty, refer to the warranty manual before replacing the component (section B1.2) or determine if there is any previously approved special program in operation.

NOTE: Universal Scan Tools may not read the listed codes or may only read 5-digit codes. Match the 5 digits from the scan tool with the first 5 digits of the 7-digit code listed to identify the problem (the last 2 digits give additional information read by the diagnostic system approved by the manufacturer).

NOTE: Always use a digital multimeter when performing voltage or resistance tests (DMM) accurate to three decimal places and with a valid calibration certificate. When testing resistance, be sure to consider the resistance of the DMM leads.

NOTE: Before starting diagnostic programs using troubleshooting tests, check and correct major problems.

NOTE: Inspect the connectors for signs of water intrusion and their pins for damage and (or) traces of corrosion.

NOTE: If DTCs are logged and there is no problem after performing troubleshooting tests, an intermittent problem may be the cause. Be sure to check for loose connections and corroded contacts.

B1A89-02	Satellite antenna	General signal failure. HD coaxial antenna cable: short circuit to ground, short circuit to (+) battery, open circuit. Internal malfunction of the high definition tuner module. AM/FM diversity amplifier internal fault.	Perform the diagnostic checks associated with this DTC using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check HD coaxial antenna cable circuit for short to ground, to (+) battery or break. If necessary, install an HD coaxial cable. An HD tuner module is suspected, check and install a new HD tuner module if necessary. An AM/FM diversity amplifier is suspected, check and install a new AM/FM antenna diversity amplifier if necessary. Refer to the new unit/component installation note at the top of the DTC index.
B1A89-11	Satellite antenna	Short circuit of the electrical circuit to ground. The high definition tuner module detected a mass measurement for a period longer than expected, or when a different value was expected. Short to ground on the HD coaxial antenna cable. Internal malfunction of the high definition tuner module. AM/FM diversity amplifier internal fault.	Perform the diagnostic checks associated with this DTC using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system. Refer to the electrical manuals and check the HD coaxial antenna cable for a short to ground. If necessary, install an HD coaxial cable. An HD tuner module is suspected, check and install a new HD tuner module if necessary. An AM/FM diversity amplifier is suspected, check and install a new AM/FM antenna diversity amplifier if necessary. Refer to the new unit/component installation note at the top of the DTC index.
B1A89-12	Satellite antenna	Short circuit of an electric chain on (+) battery. The high definition tuner module has detected an onboard power measurement for a period longer than expected, or when a different value was expected. Short circuit on (+) HD coaxial antenna cable battery. Internal malfunction of the high definition tuner module. AM/FM diversity amplifier internal fault.	Perform the diagnostic checks associated with this DTC using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system. Refer to the electrical manuals and check the HD coaxial antenna cable for a short to (+) battery. If necessary, install an HD coaxial cable. An HD tuner module is suspected, check and install a new HD tuner module if necessary. B1A89-13	Satellite antenna	Electrical circuit break. The high definition tuner module has detected an open circuit through insufficient bias voltage, low current, no input state change in response to output. An open circuit in the HD coaxial antenna cable. Internal malfunction of the high definition tuner module. AM/FM diversity amplifier internal fault.	Perform the diagnostic checks associated with this DTC using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system. Refer to the electrical manuals and check the HD coaxial antenna cable for an open. If necessary, install an HD coaxial cable. An HD tuner module is suspected, check and install a new HD tuner module if necessary. An AM/FM diversity amplifier is suspected, check and install a new AM/FM antenna diversity amplifier if necessary. Refer to the new unit/component installation note at the top of the DTC index.
U200D-14	Output power of control module A.	Short to ground or open circuit. Diversity Antenna Amplifier Power Circuit Short to Ground, Open. Internal malfunction of the high definition tuner module. AM/FM diversity amplifier internal fault.	Perform the diagnostic checks associated with this DTC using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system. Refer to your electrical manuals and check the antenna diversity amplifier power supply circuit for a short to ground or open circuit. Make repairs if necessary. An HD tuner module is suspected, check and install a new HD tuner module if necessary. An AM/FM diversity amplifier is suspected, check and install a new AM/FM antenna diversity amplifier if necessary. Refer to the new unit/component installation note at the top of the DTC index.
U3000-04	Control block	High definition tuner module. Internal system error	The HD tuner module may be defective; check and install a new high definition tuner module if necessary - refer to the new module/component installation note at the beginning of the DTC Index.
U3000-4A	Control block	High definition tuner module. Wrong item installed. Vehicle configuration mismatch.	Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, select the vehicle configuration main menu, "Vehicle configuration", "Display and (or) change car configuration file data". Check for updates if necessary.
U3000-55	Control block	The high definition tuner module is not configured. Incorrect vehicle configuration file data received.	Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, select the menu item "Customize existing blocks" and program the high definition tuner module.
U3000-87	Control block	No message. The high definition tuner module is not receiving one or more expected messages. Incorrect local configuration file. The local configuration file setting is missing, out of range, or its checksum is invalid. Internal malfunction of the high definition tuner module.	Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, select the menu item "Set up new blocks" and program the high definition tuner module. Refer to the new unit/component installation note at the top of the DTC index.
U3000-98	Control block	The high definition tuner module component or system has overheated. Internal malfunction of the high definition tuner module.	Check the high-definition tuner module and its installation location for reasons for the elevated temperature, and repair if necessary. An HD tuner module is suspected, check and install a new HD tuner module if necessary. Refer to the new unit/component installation note at the top of the DTC index.
U3003-62	Battery voltage	Signal comparison error. The high definition tuner module compares two or more input parameters for plausibility. Battery voltage mismatch of 2V or more between HD tuner module and CJB. The voltage difference between the digital audio control module and the CJB is greater than 2 V. High definition tuner module power, open circuit. HD tuner module power supply, short to ground. "Weight" high definition tuner module, open circuit. "Weight" high-definition tuner module, short to power. Internal malfunction of the high definition tuner module.	Perform the diagnostic checks associated with this DTC using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system. Verify that the voltage between the power circuit of the HD tuner module and the CJB is less than 2 V. Refer to the electrical manuals and check the power circuit for a short to ground or an open circuit. Refer to your electrical manuals and check the electrical ground circuit for an open or short to (+) battery. An HD tuner module is suspected, check and install a new HD tuner module if necessary. Refer to the new unit/component installation note at the top of the DTC index.
