The car's horns are controlled by pressing one of the vertical panels mounted on the steering wheel. Horn switch status is controlled by the CJB via the steering wheel module. When one of the switches is pressed, the CJB energizes the horn relay (relay R10), which is in BJB. The energized horn relay supplies battery power to the vehicle's two horns. Both horns are mounted on brackets and are located in the center of the front cross member, in front of the radiator.
Vehicle horns also sound when the anti-theft alarm system is activated. In this case, the operation of the vehicle's horns is automatically controlled by the CJB. For more information, see the chapter: Anti-theft system - active (419-01A Anti-theft system - active, Description and principle of operation).
