Message center is LCD (liquid crystal display), located in the center of the instrument panel. The message center provides the driver with information about the status of systems and the vehicle.

NOTE: The message center is only available on instrument clusters "high series".

The instrument panel receives information for the message center from the central electrical box (CJB) over the medium speed CAN bus. The CJB generates this information based on medium and high speed bus inputs and wired inputs from various system control modules. Software embedded in the instrument panel converts the data from the CJB into on-screen messages for the driver.
