Safety
The voltage in the power supply circuit of the xenon headlight system reaches 28,000 V. Before working on the headlights, they must be switched off. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in death.
The following precautions must be observed when working on the xenon headlight system.
- DO NOT carry out any work on xenon headlights or circuits unless they are de-energized.
- Work with xenon lamps is possible only with the use of personal protective equipment, such as gloves and goggles. Do not touch the glass bulb of the lamp.
- You can turn on the lamp only when it is in the installed position, in the reflector.
- All safety rules and instructions must be followed to avoid injury.
WARNING: Xenon lamps must be disposed of in accordance with hazardous waste regulations.
Repair manual contains instructions for repair procedures for the xenon headlight system, see section 100-00 «General information, standard repair operations» in the repair manual.
Inspection and verification
1. Be aware that intermittent fault messages may be due to the cycling nature of the FETs (FET).
2. Perform a visual check for obvious mechanical or electrical problems.

3. If a clear cause for an observed or customer-reported issue is identified, resolve the issue before proceeding to the next steps (if possible).
4. Before moving on to the table signs of malfunction or DTC index, using a manufacturer-approved diagnostic system or scanner, call logged DTCs (DTCs).
Since DTCs are stored in multiple blocks, it is recommended to read all vehicle data. Clear all DTCs after troubleshooting.
