The active anti-theft system monitors the condition of all hinged body panels for unauthorized opening. In some markets, the anti-theft system also includes vehicle interior monitoring and tilt control.
The active anti-theft alarm system is controlled by the following body control modules:
- CJB
- Left and right front and rear door modules
- Dashboard
CJB is the main controller of the system. CJB, among other functions, manages the following security functions:
- Locking, double locking and unlocking.
- Monitoring of hinged panel microswitches and partial closing status of panels.
- Intrusion detection module.
- Self-powered siren or vehicle horns.
- Passive activation and deactivation of the system.
- Attack alarm function.
- Reading the signals of the remote control transceiver.
- Interior lighting.
There are two levels of car anti-theft alarm: in perimeter protection mode (perimeter mode) all openings are monitored, in the internal volume control mode (volumetric mode) (in the presence of) intrusion into the vehicle interior is monitored, and in some markets a tilt sensor is also provided to monitor the movement of the vehicle.
NOTE: 3D mode and tilt sensor are not available in all markets.
NOTE: Surround mode is canceled if one of the windows or the sunroof of the vehicle being locked is left open to avoid the possibility of an accidental alarm.
The remote control has the following functions:
- unlocking (centralized or unlocking the driver's door only).
- Locking and double blocking.
- Opening the tailgate.
- Illumination when approaching Alarm in case of attack.
The unlock and lock buttons also control general closing and opening, in which the windows are automatically closed or opened by long pressing the corresponding button. This feature is available in certain markets and is controlled in conjunction with door modules.
WARNING: Never double lock the vehicle when there are people or animals in the vehicle.
NOTE: Dual locking is not available in all markets.
The remote control has a key for emergency access. It can be used in the event of a problem with the remote control or the car's battery to unlock the car. The left door handle has a recessed mechanical lock cylinder that can be unlocked with an emergency key. This operation does not deactivate the perimeter alarm and interior alarm, which are triggered when the door is opened. To disable the alarm, insert the remote control into the slot on the launch control module and press the start/stop button.
The remote control has a built-in lithium vanadium rechargeable battery. The battery is recharged when the remote is inserted into the slot on the launch control module.
