Transport mode
All new cars shipped from the manufacturer are in transport mode. Transport mode replaces the traditional transport relay and deactivates a number of electrical systems and functions to prevent battery static discharge while in transit. When the vehicle is in transport mode, 'transp' appears on the instrument cluster odometer.
To cancel the transport mode, you must connect a Land Rover approved diagnostic system to the vehicle during the pre-delivery inspection (PDI). See the PDI manual for more information.
Vehicles equipped with the system «Stop/Start» - starting from MY 2010
Location of components
Land Rover TD4_e vehicles use smart system for the first time «Stop/Start». The components listed below are used to operate the system «Stop/Start». For more information, see the chapter: Starting system (303-06C Starting system - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Vehicles built from 03/2009, Description and function).

Battery with absorbent glass microfibre baffles
To avoid excessive system power consumption «Stop/Start» These vehicles use a high-performance battery based on glass microfiber absorbent baffle technology. The advantage of such a battery over the traditional one is the glass absorbent partitions between the lead plates. For more information, see the chapter: Starting system (303-06C Starting system - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Vehicles built from 03/2009, Description and function).
Battery monitoring system
Optimum battery condition is fundamental to proper system operation «Stop/Start». Therefore, a battery monitoring system unit is built into the car (BMS), designed to record and inform about the state of the battery. For more information, see the chapter: Starting system (303-06C Starting system - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Vehicles built from 03/2009, Description and function).
Voltage quality control unit
During the cycle «Stop/Start» voltage quality module (VQM) keeps the vehicle's electrical systems running by supplying auxiliary voltage to the electronic components during engine restarts. It allows the main systems of the car to continue their work after an unexpected drop in battery voltage. For more information, see the chapter: Starting system (303-06C Starting system - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Vehicles built from 03/2009, Description and function).
