Wheel and tire sizes (Freelander 2)

Various combinations of alloy and steel wheel rims and tire sizes are available. A tire pressure monitoring system is also provided (TPMS). This system monitors the pressure in each wheel and informs the driver when the pressure drops below the set thresholds.

The spare wheel is a full size wheel with 7J X 17 steel rim and 225/65 X R17 tire.

Vehicles from model year 2009 use 8J X 19 alloy wheels and 235/55 R19 tires. Also available as an option is a 10-spoke dark chrome 8J X 19 alloy wheel with 235/55R19 tyre.

Tires

Depending on the operating conditions of the car, tires of different sizes and with different tread patterns are used. Tire sizes are listed below:

• 215/75R16
• 225/65 R17
• 235/65R17
• 235/60R18
• 235/55R19

WARNING: Inflate tires to the recommended pressure (specified in the instruction manual) only possible when the tires are cold (have ambient temperature). After driving or in direct sunlight, park the vehicle in the shade and allow the tires to cool before checking and/or adjusting tire pressure.
