Vehicles equipped with TPMS can be visually identified by wheels with an external metal locknut and a tire pressure sensor valve. Vehicles without a TPMS system will have a rubber tire valve.
Pos. | spare part no | Name |
1 | - | Tire valve and pressure sensor |
2 | - | Starting position of the mounting tool |
3 | - | Bus bead high voltage zone |
4 | - | Bus Bead Low Voltage Zone |
When dismantling a tire, do not use a breaker belt within 90 degrees of the valve in both directions on each side of the tire.
When using tire fitting equipment, the initial position of the fitting tool must be as shown in the figure for each side of the tire. The wheel can then be rotated 180 degrees counterclockwise. This will relieve stress on the tire bead and allow you to remove the rest of the tire from the rim by hand.
When mounting the busbar, position the mounting tool as shown in the figure. Rotate the tire and be careful that the loose bead does not damage the sensor.
Vehicle Recall Enforcement, Records and Records Improvement Act - North American markets only
Vehicles supplied to North American markets must comply with the Improved Vehicle Recall Enforcement, Records and Records Act (Transport Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation Act – TREAD). The law specifically requires a label on the B-pillar on the driver's side indicating the recommended tire pressure, load limit, and the maximum weight of passengers and cargo that the vehicle can carry in accordance with safety requirements. This label is individual for each car and is stuck on the production line.
Do not remove the label from the vehicle. The information on the label reflects the technical characteristics of the car in the factory. It does not take into account other wheel and tire sizes that may be installed by the dealer or owner.
If the label is damaged or removed for body repair, it must be replaced with a new label containing information appropriate to this vehicle. A new label can be ordered through Land Rover Parts and will be printed specifically for the specified vehicle using the VIN number.
