Suspension inspection and testing (Freelander 2)

Perform a visual check for obvious signs of damage.

• Tire damage
• Bearing (And) wheels
• Loose or damaged front or rear suspension elements
• Loose, damaged or missing item (s) suspension mounts
• Installed wrong (s) spring (s)
• Damaged or sagging springs (s)
• Damaged or leaking shock absorber (ov)
• Rack damage or leakage (racks)
• Bushing worn or damaged (And) pendants
• Loose, worn or damaged steering components
• Damage to bridge elements

If an obvious cause of a problem that you identified or described by the customer is found, correct it before proceeding to the next steps (if possible).

If the cause is not visually obvious, check the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart.

Front Suspension Exit to Dynamic Deflection Limiters or Low Ride Height	Cylindrical springs	CHECK suspension height. INSTALL new springs if necessary. Incorrect tire wear	Incorrect tire pressure (rapid wear of the central part or inner and outer edges). Excessive convergence of front or rear wheels (rapid wear of the inner or outer edges). Excessive negative or positive camber (rapid wear of the inner or outer edges). Tire imbalance (splints are cup-shaped or concave).	CHECK and ADJUST tire pressure. INSPECT tires for excessive wear.
