The various functions of the windshield wiper are switched on by moving the lever up or down. The inclusion of a single cleaning of the windshield is carried out by moving the lever down. This position of the lever is non-latching and the wiper operation stops when the lever is released and it returns to the center position. The switch contact corresponding to the cleaning once mode is wired to the central fuse box (CJB) And «weight». The same connection to the central fuse box is used for continuous high speed windshield wiper operation. When the lever is moved, the circuit in the central fuse box closes to «mass». The central fuse box senses a shorted circuit and turns on the purifier, which remains on until the contact opens.
The inclusion of intermittent operation of the windshield wiper is carried out by moving the lever up to the first fixed position. In this case, the duration of the cycle of the cleaner in intermittent operation is set by the rotary knob located on the lever. The wiper operates intermittently until the lever is moved to the wiper off, constant low speed, or high speed position. The lever contact corresponding to intermittent operation is connected to the central fuse box and «weight». When the lever is moved to the position corresponding to intermittent operation, the circuit is closed. The central fuse box senses a shorted circuit and turns on the purifier in an intermittent fashion that remains until the contact opens.
The choice of the duration of the cycle in the intermittent operation of the cleaner is carried out using the rotary control located on the lever. The controller allows the driver to select one of six cycle times to match the weather conditions. The regulator is connected by three wires to the central fuse box and one wire to «weight». Each of the six positions uses a different combination of three wires. The central fuse box determines which cycle time is selected and switches on the cleaner with the appropriate delay.
The inclusion of a constant mode of operation of the windshield wiper at low speed is carried out by moving the lever up to the second fixed position. Wiper operation in this mode continues until the lever is moved to one of the following positions: wiper off, wiper on in intermittent mode, wiper on at high speed. The lever contact corresponding to this mode is connected to the central fuse box and «weight». When the lever is moved to the position corresponding to the windshield wiper at low speed, the circuit is completed. The central fuse box senses a short circuit, turns on the cleaner at low speed, and it stays on until the contact opens.
The inclusion of a constant mode of operation of the windshield wiper at high speed is carried out by moving the lever up to the third fixed position. The operation of the purifier in this mode continues until the lever is moved to one of the following positions: purifier off, purifier on in intermittent mode, purifier on at low speed. The lever contact corresponding to this mode is connected to the central fuse box and «weight». When the lever is moved to the position corresponding to turning on the cleaner at high speed, the circuit is closed. The central fuse box senses a shorted circuit, turns on the cleaner at high speed, and it stays on until the contact opens.
The windshield washer function button is located at the end of the switch lever. When the button is pressed, the circuit in the central fuse box closes to «mass». The central fuse box senses a shorted circuit and turns on the windshield washer, which remains on as long as the button is pressed.
Rear window wiper/washer switch
Switching on the rear window wiper and washer is carried out by moving the lever back (to the driver). To turn on the rear window wiper, the lever must be moved back to the first fixed position. The lever contact corresponding to this mode is connected to the central fuse box and «weight». When the lever is moved to the position corresponding to turning on the rear window cleaner, the circuit is closed. The central fuse box senses a shorted circuit and turns on the rear window wiper, which remains on until the contact opens.
To turn on the rear window washer, the lever must be moved back to the second non-fixed position. When the lever is moved to this position, the circuit between the central fuse box and «weight» closes. The central fuse box detects a shorted circuit and turns on the rear window washer, which remains on until the contact opens.
