The outer ends of the steering rods have a thread for fastening the tips of the rods. The rod ends are screwed onto the rods and fixed with locknuts, which prevent accidental movement. The tie rod thread allows you to adjust the position of the tie rod end to set the correct toe angle for each front wheel. The steering rod is equipped with a spherical connector that is screwed into the end of the steering mechanism. The steering mechanism is equipped with a cover that protects the spherical connector from dirt and moisture.
The tie rod end is forged and has a threaded hole for attaching the tie rod. A maintenance-free conical ball joint is provided on the tie rod end, located in the conical hole of the front wheel knuckle and fastened with a self-locking nut. The ball joint has an internal hexagon that holds the joint in place while the self-locking nut is tightened.
