Steering gear cover (Freelander 2)

Removing

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Place secure stands under the vehicle.

2. Remove the tie rod end. Refer to Procedure: Rod End (211-03 Steering gear, Removal and installation).

NOTE: Mark the installation position.

Installation

1. To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Clean mating surfaces of foreign material. Make sure the cover is installed correctly.
