Removing
1. Remove the luggage compartment.
2. Turn out an adjusting nut and disconnect a forward cable of a parking brake.
3. Release the rear parking brake cables and remove the compensator.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Be sure to install reliable supports under the car.
5. Remove both rear wheels complete with tires. Refer to Procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04, Removal and installation).
6. Attach the rear brake caliper to the side.
7. Bend back the parking brake adjuster.
8. Remove the brake disc.
9. Release the cable support bracket, clamp, and cable tie.
10. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the body.
11. Disconnect and remove the cable.
12. Repeat the above procedure on the other side of the vehicle.
Installation
1. Install the parking brake cable on the hub and connect the valve.
2. Install the parking brake cable to the body.
3. Connect the cable support bracket, clamp and cable tie.
4. Install the brake disc. Tightening torque: 35 Nm
5. Install the brake caliper. Tightening torque: 110 Nm
6. Repeat the above procedure on the other side of the vehicle.
7. Install the compensator on the rear parking brake cables.
8. Connect the front parking brake cable and install the adjusting nut.
9. Adjust the parking brake.
10. Install the rear floor console coin tray and luggage compartment.
11. Install both wheel and tire assemblies. Refer to Procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04, Removal and installation).
