Removing
CAUTION: Nuts and bolts must be tightened with the vehicle supported on the suspension.
NOTE: Use only clean water to lubricate the bushing if necessary.
NOTE: The description of the removal procedure in this manual may include installation steps.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: Place secure stands under the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheels complete with tires. Refer to procedure: Wheel and tire (204-04 Wheels and tires, Removal and installation).
3. Remove cardan shaft. Refer to procedure: Driveshaft - Vehicle not included: Diesel Fuel Filter (205-01 Cardan shaft, Removal and installation).
4. Remove catalytic converters. Refer to Procedure: Catalytic Converter (309-00A Exhaust system - 3.2L NA - I6, Removal and installation).

- Disconnect both stabilizer links. Tightening torque: 60 Nm
- Discard the nuts.
CAUTION: Do not allow the ball joint to rotate.

- Tighten in the sequence shown. Tightening torque: 175 Nm
- Repeat the above procedure on the other side of the vehicle.
WARNING: Use new nuts.
7. Remove stabilizer bushings.
NOTE: Do not proceed with disassembly if the element is being removed only to gain access.
Installation
1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
