Front stabilizer bushing (Freelander 2)

Removing

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Place secure stands under the vehicle.

2. Remove the front wheels complete with tires. Refer to procedure: Wheel and tire (204-04 Wheels and tires, Removal and installation).

3. Remove the lower engine protection. Refer to procedure: Motor protection (501-02 Front body panels, Removal and installation).

• Disconnect both front stabilizer links from the stabilizer.
• Discard the nuts.

CAUTION: The ball head must not turn.

5. Remove the stabilizer bushing.

WARNING: Use new nuts.

Installation

1. Install the stabilizer bar bushings. Tightening torque: 175 Nm

WARNING: Use new nuts.

2. Install the stabilizer link. Tightening torque: 60 Nm

WARNING: Use new nuts.

CAUTION: The ball head must not turn.

3. Install the lower motor guard. Refer to procedure: Motor protection (501-02 Front body panels, Removal and installation).

4. Install wheel and tire assembly. Refer to procedure: Wheel and tire (204-04 Wheels and tires, Removal and installation).
