Removing
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the wheel. Refer to procedure: Wheel and tire (204-04 Wheels and tires, Removal and installation).
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always place secure supports under the vehicle.
2. Turn out the bottom bolt of fastening of a brake support.
3. Remove the brake pads.
4. Remove the brake shoe clips.
Installation
1.Clean the brake caliper and base plate with clean brake fluid.
2. Inspect the caliper piston and guide pin o-rings for damage.
3. Immerse the end of the bleed tube into a suitable container containing a small amount of the prescribed brake fluid. Place the bleed tube on the bleeder screw and loosen the screw a little.
4. Insert the piston into the caliper body and tighten the air release screw. Tightening torque: 10 Nm
5. Disconnect the bleed tube and remove the container.
6. Install the brake shoe clips. Install the brake pads. Attach the brake caliper. Tightening torque: 35 Nm
When installing new brake pads in the down position, install a new gold clip. On cars with gasoline engines, a clamp with one hole is installed. On vehicles with diesel engines, a clip with two holes is installed. Failure to do so may result in vehicle damage.
When installing new brake pads in the up position, a new black clip must be installed. Failure to do so may result in vehicle damage.
7. Repeat the above procedure on the other side.
8. Install wheels. Refer to procedure: Wheel and tire (204-04 Wheels and tires, Removal and installation).
9. Depress the brake pedal, check the brake fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top up if necessary.
