Sunroof blind winding procedure (from VIN 154972) (Freelander 2)

1. Close the blind of the sunroof opening panel.



2. Disconnect the blind of the sunroof opening panel from the rails. Rotate the left corner counterclockwise and release the right corner from the frame.

NOTE: Rotate the sunroof opening panel in the direction shown in the illustration.

3. Open the blind of the sunroof opening panel.



4. Using a suitable hairpin or paper clip (see picture) Detach the sunroof opening panel shade from the support bracket and remove the sunshade from the vehicle.




5. Roll up the sunroof opening panel.

• Insert the spring-loaded axle into the blind of the sunroof opening panel.
• Using a suitable tool, hold and rotate the spring-loaded axle.
• After 14 turns, release the spring-loaded axle 17 mm from the blind of the sunroof opening panel.

NOTE: The opening sunroof panel must be rotated 14 turns.

6. Install the sunroof opening panel curtain into the frame.

NOTE: Make sure the spring-loaded axle is correctly positioned in the sunroof opening panel frame.

7. Install the sunroof opening panel curtain rails into the guides.

• Insert the right sunroof opening panel blind slide into the guide.
• Insert the left skid clockwise into the guide.

8. Open the blind of the sunroof opening panel and check for correct operation.
