Air deflector (Freelander 2)

Removing

1. Open the sunroof.

2. Remove a rear-view mirror of salon. Refer to Procedure: Interior Rear View Mirror (501-09 Rear-view mirrors, Removal and installation).

3. Remove trim panels on both pillars "A". Refer to Procedure: Rack Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

4. Remove the upper trim panels of both pillars "IN". Refer to Procedure: Upper Pillar Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

5. Remove both front passenger handrails.



6. Remove both sun visors.



7. Starting at the front edge, carefully release the headlining to gain access.

CAUTION: Protect surrounding paintwork to avoid damage.

Installation

1. Install the air baffle.


2. Install the hinges on the air deflector.

3. Tension both springs.

4. Locate and secure the air deflector loops.

5. Install the headlining carefully.

6. Install sun visors.

7. Install passenger handrails.

8. Install the upper trim panels of both pillars "IN". Refer to Procedure: Upper Pillar Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

9. Install the upper trim panels of both pillars "A". Refer to Procedure: Rack Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

10. Establish a rear-view mirror of salon. Refer to Procedure: Interior Rear View Mirror (501-09 Rear-view mirrors, Removal and installation).

11. Manually check the operation of the air baffle.
