Restraint Control Module (Freelander 2)

Removing

NOTE: The RCM should be replaced after each operation of any of the SRS elements.

1. Place the SRS system in safe mode. Refer to Procedure: Standard Techniques Used in a Service Station (100-00 General information, Description and principle of operation).

2. Remove the floor console. Refer to Procedure: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument panel and console, Removal and installation).

• Cut through the carpet to gain access.
• Move the carpet to the side to gain access.

4. Tightening torque: 10 Nm

Installation

1. When installing, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

2. Using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, program the new RCM.
