Milling of spot welds
NOTE: All other items such as interior fittings, window glass, etc. must be protected from projectile sparks.
NOTE: Be sure to set the milling depth correctly to prevent loosening of the remaining flange.
Face grinder
NOTE: Use protective clothing. Protect all vulnerable body parts and glazing from scattered sparks. Remove explosive materials from nearby nearby areas.
All spot welds that are not available for milling (diameter > 8 mm) must be milled using a face (pivotal) abrasive circle. The same applies to spot and conventional welds made using MIA technology.
Short stroke saw
NOTE: Below ("subject") metal elements, wiring harnesses, hoses, etc. must not be damaged - if necessary, remove them beforehand.
Bodywork saws are versatile and therefore well suited for cutting body parts.
Reciprocating Saw
In addition to the short stroke saw, a reciprocating saw can also be used. Using it, you can make narrow and straight cuts to the exact depth.
