Electric switch of the luggage compartment door (Freelander 2)

Removing

1. Remove the tailgate trim panel. Refer to Procedure: Tailgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. Remove the license plate light housing.



3. Remove and discard the 6 license plate housing gaskets.



4. Remove the license plate lights.



5. Remove the power tailgate switch.

Installation

1. Install the power back door switch.

2. Install the license plate lights.

3. Install the license plate housing and tighten the nuts. Tightening torque: 5 Nm

4. Install the tailgate trim panel. Refer to Procedure: Tailgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).
