Removal and installation of a forward door (Freelander 2)

Removing

1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the accumulator. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging system - General information, Specifications).

CAUTION: After turning off the ignition, wait two minutes before disconnecting the battery. Failure to pause for two minutes may damage the navigation computer.

2. Tightening torque: 24 Nm



3. Tightening torque: 30 Nm

CAUTION: Protect surrounding finish to avoid damage.

NOTE: This step requires the assistance of a second mechanic.

NOTE: With the help of another mechanic, support the door.

Installation

1. When installing, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
