Front bumper cover (Freelander 2)

Removing

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Be sure to place secure supports under the vehicle.

2. Remove the front wheels. Refer to procedure: Wheel and tire (204-04 Wheels and tires, Removal and installation).

3. Remove the towing device hole plug.



4. Remove the front right and left mudguards.



5. Disconnect facing of a forward bumper from the right and left mudguards.



6. With the help of another mechanic, release the front bumper trim.




7. With the help of another mechanic, remove the front bumper trim.

NOTE: During this operation, some hydraulic fluid will inevitably spill.

8. Remove 2 washer nozzles.

NOTE: Do not proceed with disassembly if the element is being removed only to gain access.

9. Remove 4 parking aid sensors.




10. Remove the front fog lights.



11. Carefully remove the label.



12. If Equipped: Remove license plate.

13. If equipped: Remove the license plate panel.

Installation

1. Install license plate panel (in the presence of).


2. Install license plate (in the presence of).

3. Install the shortcut.

4. Install the front fog lights.

5. Install the parking aid sensors.

6. Install washer nozzles.

7. With the help of another mechanic, install the front bumper trim and tighten the fasteners to 10 Nm (7 lb-ft).

8. Install mud flaps.

9.Install the towing device hole plug.
