Exhaust gas recirculation valve: Td4 engine (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove the intake air hoses.

DIESEL ENGINE FUEL SUPPLY, REPAIR WORKS, Intake air ducts.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the EGR valve (EGR).

4. Loosen the screw and remove the clamp that secures the exhaust gas bypass pipe to the recirculation valve.

5. Turn away 4 bolts and remove the valve. Dispose of the gasket.

Installation

1. Clean the mating surfaces of the recirculation valve and intake manifold.

2. Wipe the flange of the exhaust gas bypass pipe and its connection to the recirculation valve.

3. Install a new recirculation valve gasket on the intake manifold.

4. Install the recirculation valve and evenly tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.

5. Put on a collar of fastening of a pipe bypass OG and tighten the screw.

6. Connect the vacuum hose to the recirculation valve.

7. Install the intake air hoses.

8. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
