Knock sensor (KS) (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove the left intake manifold.

MANIFOLDS AND EXHAUST SYSTEM: MOD. K, move. V6, REPAIRS, Intake manifold gaskets, left side.

3. Disconnect the connector from the sensor.

4. Mark the route for laying the harnesses for each of the sensors.

5. Turn away two bolts of fastening of the gauge of a detonation (KS) to the cylinder block and remove the sensor.

Installation

1. Wipe the knock sensor (KS) and reciprocal mating surfaces on the cylinder block.

2. Install the knock sensor, checking the route of the wire harnesses, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 25 Nm.

3. Connect the connector to the knock sensor (KS).

4. Install the left intake manifold.

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
