Right cylinder head ignition coil: after May 2003 (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove a noise-insulating casing of the engine.

KV6 ENGINE - MODIFICATION K, Camshafts of the left cylinder head, Noise-insulating casing of the engine.

3. Remove the ignition coil connector retainer and disconnect the connector from the coil.

4. Turn away a bolt of fastening of the coil of ignition to a valvate cover.

5. Remove the ignition coil from the valve cover.

Installation

1. Lubricate the bottom seal of the coil with rubber lubricant.

2. Install the ignition coil on the valve cover, screw in the mounting bolt and tighten it to 5 Nm.

3. Attach the connector to the coil and secure it.

4. Replace the engine soundproof cover.

5. Attach "negative" terminal to the battery.
