Throttle control cable — removal and installation (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the soundproof casing of the engine.

KV6 ENGINE - MODIFICATION K, Camshafts of the left cylinder head, Noise-insulating casing of the engine.

2. Release the throttle cable from the clips on the wire harness brackets.

3. Disconnect the cable sheath from the bracket and disconnect the cable from the sector on the throttle pipe.



4. Disconnect the gas cable from the gas pedal.

5. Rotate the cable sheath to release it from the bulkhead and remove the cable assembly from the vehicle.

Installation

1. Route the cable, attach the cable sheath to the bulkhead and secure the cable to the gas pedal.

2. Fasten the throttle control cable to the gas sector and the cable sheath to the bracket.

3. Attach the throttle cable to the clips on the wire harness brackets.

4. Adjust the throttle cable.

FUEL SUPPLY OF PETROL ENGINE, ADJUSTMENTS, Throttle control cable - check and adjustment: KV6 engine.

5. Replace the engine soundproof cover.
