Examination
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Place a rag under the fuel pipe to collect spilled fuel.
CAUTION: Fuel leakage is inevitable during this operation. Take safety precautions to prevent fire or explosion.
3. Disconnect the fuel pipe from the intake manifold.
4. Attach tool LRT-19-004A to intake manifold and fuel line.
NOTE: LRT-19-004X may also be used.
5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
6. Start the engine. In idle mode, pressure = 3.6±0.2 bar.
7. Stop the engine. If the pressure is outside the specified limits, then the following should be checked, in order of listing: fuel hoses, filter, fuel pump.
8. Remove the plug, reattach the vacuum hose and secure the hose with a clamp.
9. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
10. Disconnect tool LRT - 19-004A from the fuel hose and from the intake manifold.
11. Attach a fuel tube to a collector.
12. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
