Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the bypass air hose from the idle speed control and remove it from the throttle pipe.
3. Disconnect the connector from the throttle position sensor.
4. Remove and discard the 2 screws with washers that secure the throttle position sensor to the throttle body.
5. Remove the data plate from the sensor.
6. Remove the sensor.
WARNING: Do not move the sensor by turning or using a lever.
Installation
1. Wipe the mating surfaces of the throttle tube and throttle position sensor.
2. Install the sensor on the throttle shaft. Make sure that the flat on the throttle shaft is aligned with the counterpart on the position sensor.
CAUTION: The throttle position sensor can be easily damaged during installation. When putting the sensor on the throttle axis, use only the force of your fingers and apply it only to the areas shaded in the figure.
3. Rotate the sensor counterclockwise until the mounting holes line up.
CAUTION: Do not rotate the sensor clockwise and make sure that the sensor does not go beyond the internal stops when rotating.
4. Place a data plate on the sensor.
5. Screw in new mounting bolts with new wave washers and tighten the bolts to 1.5 Nm.
6. Connect the connector to the throttle position sensor.
7. Install the bypass air hose on the idle air control and connect it to the throttle pipe.
8. Step on the gas pedal 2-3 times to make sure the throttle moves from fully open to fully closed.
9. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
