Sensors: Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECT) (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the block from the coolant temperature sensor.

2. Install a container to collect the escaping coolant.

3. Remove the coolant temperature sensor.

Installation

1. Clean the mating surfaces of the temperature sensor and cylinder block.

2. Apply STC 50552 sealant to the threaded part of the sensor.

3. Put on the coolant temperature sensor (ECT) new sealing washer, screw it in and tighten to 15 Nm.

4. Attach a socket of the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid.

5. Check for leaks

and add fluid to the reservoir up to the mark "MAX".
