Engine Control Module (ECM) (Freelander 1)

Block for implementing ignition and fuel supply strategies.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.



2. Remove the 5 screws securing the junction box cover.



3. Turn away 2 bolts of fastening of a clamping level of a wire plait of the control unit and remove a level.

4. Unfasten the latches and disconnect the connectors from the control unit.



5. Release the two latches and remove the engine control unit (ECM).

Installation

1. Install the engine control unit in the junction box (ECM).

2. Connect the connectors to the control unit.

3. Install the clamping bar of the control box harness and fix it with screws.

4. Install the junction box cover and fasten it with screws.

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.

6. Start the control unit using the TestBook/T4 diagnostic tool.
