Right exhaust manifold gaskets: Americas (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove the right catalytic converter.

EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM, Positive crankcase breather valve: Td4 engine, Right bank catalytic converter: KV6 engine, North American market countries.

3. Turn away 4 nuts of fastening of a final collector to a head of cylinders, remove a collector and utilize a lining.

Installation

1. Wipe down the exhaust manifold and mating surface.

2. Install the exhaust manifold with a new gasket, fit the nuts and tighten them. Tightening torque 45 Nm.

3. Install the right catalytic converter.

EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM, Positive crankcase breather valve: Td4 engine, Right bank catalytic converter: KV6 engine, North American market countries.

4. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
