Bottom pan gasket (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Drain the engine oil and remove the filter element from the oil filter housing.

MAINTENANCE, MAINTENANCE, Engine oil and oil filter -Td4.

3. Turn away 16 bolts of fastening of the pallet.

4. Remove pan and discard gasket.

Installation

1. Check that the mating surfaces of the bottom and top of the pallet are clean.

2. Lay a new gasket on the bottom of the pallet.

3. Install the lower part of the pallet and tighten the fastening bolts to 10 Nm.

4. Insert a new oil filter element and fill the engine with oil.

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
