Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Remove camshafts.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Intake and exhaust camshafts.
3. Remove the hydraulic lifters and lay them out in the order in which they were installed.
4. Remove the hydraulic compensators. If they are to be reused, arrange them in the order in which they were installed.
WARNING: Hydraulic lifters must be stored in the order in which they were installed and must be upside down so that oil does not leak out of them. The maximum possible cleanliness must be observed when working with hydraulic lifters. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in engine failure.
Installation
1. Wash the hydraulic lifters and their sockets in the cylinder head.
2. Lubricate the hydraulic lifters and their sockets in the cylinder head with clean engine oil.
3. If the old hydraulic lifters are used, then install them in the order in which they were before.
4. Flush the hydraulic lifters.
5. Lubricate the hydraulic lifters with clean engine oil.
6. Install the hydraulic lifters in their original order.
7. Install camshafts.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Intake and exhaust camshafts.
8. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
