Dismantling
1. Raise the vehicle on a four post lift.
2. Remove the lower engine protection.

3. Place a container under the oil filter to collect the escaping oil.
4. Loosen and discard the oil filter using a loop handle.
CAUTION: Avoid prolonged hand skin contact with used engine oil. Used engine oil contains harmful substances that can cause skin cancer or other serious skin conditions.
Installation
1. Lap the mating surface under the filter installation.
2. Fill the filter with clean engine oil.
3. Lubricate the O-ring of the new oil filter with clean engine oil.
4. Screw on the new oil filter and tighten it by hand until it makes full contact with the sealing surface, then tighten the filter another half turn.
5. Remove the oil container from under the engine.
6. Reinstall the lower motor guard.

7. Lower the car lift.
8. Start the engine to make sure there are no oil leaks.
9. Stop the engine. After waiting a few minutes, check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.
