Dismantling
1. Remove the timing belt.
ENGINE - MODIFICATION K, volume 1.8, Front oil seal of the exhaust camshaft, Timing belt.
2. Remove the crankshaft drive gear.
3. Turn away 2 bolts of fastening of a motor plait to the oil pump.
4. Remove the bottom bolt from the engine front cover (it is the rear timing belt cover).
5. Mark the location of the bolt M6x20 'A' and, in the sequence shown in the figure, unscrew and discard the 9 bolts securing the oil pump to the cylinder block.
6. To remove the pump, release the back cover.
7. Remove the oil pump, remove and discard the gasket.
NOTE: The pump housing is mounted on pins.
8. Remove the crankshaft front oil seal from the oil pump and discard the oil seal.
Installation
1. Clean the oil pump and mating surfaces.
2. Wipe the sealing surface of the crankshaft.
3. Install a new gasket, install the oil pump.
CAUTION: Gaskets must be installed dry.
4. Install new bolts, making sure the M6x20 bolt is in position 'A'. Tighten the oil pump mounting bolts to 10 Nm in the sequence shown in the figure.
5. Screw in a bolt of fastening of a forward cover of the engine (rear timing belt cover) and tighten it to 9 Nm.
6. Place the motor wiring harness on the oil pump, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 10 Nm.
7. Install the protective cover from the crankshaft front oil seal kit on the crankshaft toe.
8. Install a new oil seal using tool LRT-12-137.
CAUTION: The seals must be installed dry.
9. Wipe the timing gear.
10. Install the timing gear.
11. Install the timing belt.
