Throttle position sensor: before May 2003 (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.



2. Turn away 2 nuts and remove a gas pedal from hairpins.

3. Release the gas pedal position sensor connector from the bracket and disconnect it from the main harness.



4. Turn away a nut and disconnect draft from the gauge.

5. Turn away 2 nuts with bolts and remove the gauge.

Installation

1. Install the position sensor and tighten the nuts and bolts to 10 Nm.

2. Keeping the gas pedal close, install the rod on the sensor and tighten the nut to 10 Nm.

3. Install the gas pedal, connect the sensor connector and fix it on the bracket.

4. Install the pedal on the studs and tighten the nuts to 25 Nm.

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.

6. Use the TestBook/T4 to verify that the sensor is working properly.
