Boost pressure sensor (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove a noise-insulating casing of the engine.

ENGINE - Td4, Intake and Exhaust Camshafts, Engine Soundproofing, Models up to May 2002.

3. Loosen the 2 clamps and remove the outlet hose from the aftercooler.



4. Release from collars on an inlet collector a wire plait and fuel tubes of a backflow line.

5. Disconnect the connector from the boost pressure sensor.



6. Turn away a bolt and remove the boost pressure gauge. Dispose of the gasket.

Installation

1. Wipe the boost pressure sensor and its mounting location.

2. Put a new gasket on the sensor and fix it with a bolt on the intake manifold. Tightening torque 8 Nm.

3. Connect the connector to the boost pressure sensor.

4. Attach the fuel return hoses and wiring harness to the clamps on the intake manifold.

5. Fit the intercooler air outlet hose and tighten the clamps.

6. Replace the engine soundproof cover.

7. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
