Fan and cooling fan motor: without air conditioning (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.



2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the relay housing and from the fan motors.

3. Pull the wire harness away from the fan shroud.



4. Turn away 4 bolts of fastening of a casing of the fan to a radiator.

5. With the help of a partner, carefully remove the fan shroud with motor.



6. Turn away three bolts of fastening of the engine to a casing of the fan and take out the engine with the fan.

Installation

1. Install the fan assembly with the electric motor on the fan casing, screw in the screws and tighten them with a torque of 5 Nm.

2. Install the fan assembly with the electric motor on the radiator, screw in the screws and tighten them with a torque of 5 Nm.

3. Attach the relay and wiring harness to the fan shroud.

4. Connect the connectors.

5. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
