Dismantling
1. Remove the lower engine protection.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Engine lower shield.
2. Place a container to collect the spilled liquid.
CAUTION: Be careful when draining fluid, which can be very hot.
3. Disconnect the 2 fittings from the heat exchanger and discard the O-rings.
CAUTION: Always plug fittings and openings to keep dirt out of the system.
4. Install a container to collect the escaping coolant.
5. Loosen the two clamps and disconnect the cooling system hoses from the transmission heat exchanger.
CAUTION: Always plug fittings and openings to keep dirt out of the system.
6. Turn away bolts of fastening of the heat exchanger.
7. Remove the heat exchanger for cooling the working fluid.
Installation
1. Install the heat exchanger on the bracket, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 25 Nm.
2. Attach hoses of system of cooling and fix them collars.
3. Lubricate new O-rings with clean working fluid and install them on the heat exchanger hoses.
FILLING CAPACITIES, LIQUIDS AND OILS, Lubrication system.
4. Connect the hoses to the heat exchanger and tighten the union nuts to a torque of 18 Nm.
5. Fill the engine with coolant.
COOLING SYSTEM: MOD. K, KV6 engine, ADJUSTMENTS, Coolant drain, system flush and fill.
6. Add working fluid to the gearbox.
MAINTENANCE, MAINTENANCE SERVICE, Automatic Transmission - JATCO.
7. Reinstall the lower engine guard.
