Adjustment
1. Remove the lower engine protection.

2. Turn away a nut of fastening of a tip of a cable to the selector lever.
3. Move the selector lever to position "R".
4. Turn the shift lever on the gearbox fully counterclockwise to the "R".
5. Pull the cable out of the sheath as far as possible and then release it. This technique eliminates the dead run of the cable.
6. Tighten the nut securing the cable end to the lever, tightening torque 6 Nm.
7. Reinstall the lower engine guard.

8. Move the selector lever through the arc of travel from 'P' to '2' and back to 'P', checking that the ranges are engaged as you move.
9. Make sure the engine starts when the selector lever is in the "R" or "N", and starting the engine is blocked if the selector lever is in the drive positions.
