Examination
1. Check the condition of the tires for damage, paying special attention to the condition of the side surfaces of the tires.
2. Inspect the tire tread pattern for abnormal wear that may require wheel alignment (steering or suspension).
NOTE: Any steering or suspension adjustments as a result of the inspection involve additional labor and/or consumables and should therefore not be made without prior notice to the customer.
3. Measure the tread depth across the width of the tire and around the circumference of the tire. Comment on the results of the check on the minimum values obtained by measuring the tread depth of each wheel.
NOTE: Before proceeding with maintenance activities, if necessary, explain the condition of the tires to the customer and, if necessary, advise the customer to replace the tires. This involves additional labor and/or consumables and should therefore not be performed without prior notice to the customer.
WARNING: When installing new tires, make sure they are fitted to the rear axle wheels only or to both front and rear axles at the same time. DO NOT install new tires on the front axle wheels only.
