Fuse box — passenger compartment (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Open the glove box.

3. Remove the hinge pin and cover.

4. Remove the fuse block cover.



5. Remove the relay from the fuse box mounting plate.

6. Turn away a bolt of fastening of a mounting plate of a box of fuses to an arm of fastening of a steering column.

7. Turn away 2 bolts of fastening of an assembly plate to a body.

8. Remove the 2 screws securing the fuse box to the mounting plate.



9. Disconnect the 3 connectors from the CCU at the back of the fuse box.

10. Remove the fuse box and disconnect the 8 electrical connector blocks.

11. Remove the fuse box.

12. Remove the fuses and relays from the fuse box.

Installation

1. Identify and install fuses.

2. Install the relay.

3. Replace the fuse box.

4. Connect the blocks to the fuse box.

5. Attach blocks to CCU.

6. Install the bolts securing the fuse box to the mounting plate and tighten them to 8 Nm.

7. Install the bolts securing the fuse box mounting plate to the body and tighten them to 8 Nm.

8. Install the relay into the mounting plate.

9. Replace the fuse box cover.

10. Reinstall the glove box lid and hinge pin.

11. Close the glove box.

12. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
