Power window motor and mechanism — front door — 3-door (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the top protective film of the door panel.

DOORS, Removing the front door assembly to gain access to other components, installing the front door, 3-door front door top plastic trim.

2. Remove the lower protective film of the door panel.

DOORS, Removing the front door assembly to access other components, installing the front door, 3-door front door lower plastic trim.

3. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the door amplifier, release the cable from the retainers and remove the door amplifier.

4. Disconnect the block from the power window motor.

5. Turn away 2 screws pressing the mechanism of a window regulator to glass, and take glass from clamps.

6. Turn away 5 screws of fastening of the mechanism of a window regulator to a door.

7. Gently moving the electric motor and window mechanism, remove them from the hole in the door.

Installation

1. Position the electric motor and power window mechanism in the door opening and attach to the glass.

ATTENTION: It is very important that when installing the actuator, the location of the cable with an anti-noise cover is behind the door upholstery, and the electric motor cable is behind the glass.

2. Fix the power window mechanism to the door using screws.

3. Tighten the fixing clips of the power window mechanism to the glass with a torque of 9 Nm.

4. Attach the shoe to the power window motor.

5. Fit the door reinforcement, fit and tighten the Torx screws to 9 Nm.

6. Attach the cable to the door reinforcement retainer.

7. Install the bottom protective film of the door panel.
