Immobilizer — electronic control unit (ECU) (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove the instrument panel.

INTERIOR TRIM PARTS, REPAIRS, Control panel - for cars up to 2004 model year.

3. Turn off 2 plastic nuts of fastening of ECU of an immobilizer and disconnect a block. Remove the immobilizer ECU.

Installation

1. Connect the wiring harness to the immobilizer ECU.

2. Position the computer in place, install and tighten the 2 plastic nuts.

3. Reinstall the instrument panel.

INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIRS, Control panel - for cars up to 2004 model year.

4. Attach "negative" battery terminal.

5. Initialize the system using the TestBook/T4 diagnostic tool.
