Central Control Unit (CCU) (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.



2. Open the glove box cover on the driver's side and remove the fuse box cover.



3. Turn away a bolt of fastening of a mounting plate of a box of fuses to an arm of fastening of a steering column.

4. Turn away 2 bolts of fastening of an assembly plate to a body.

5. Remove the 2 screws securing the fuse box to the mounting plate.

6. Disconnect the 3 connectors from the CCU at the back of the fuse box.



7. Maneuver the fuse box to ensure free access to the CCU.

8. Loosen the retaining clips and remove the CCU.

Installation

1. Correctly position the CCU and secure it to the latches.

2. Position the fuse box next to the mounting plate.

3. Attach blocks to CCU.

4. Install the bolts securing the fuse box to the mounting plate and tighten them to 8 Nm.

5. Install the mounting plate and tighten the bolts to 8 Nm.

6. Replace the fuse box cover.

7. Close the glove box.

8. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
