Headlights — pair — dimming — from 04MY (Freelander 1)

Examination

1. Align the control equipment with the headlight.

2. Turn on the headlights. Headlight adjustment:

• For all countries except USA and Canada: The headlights must be adjusted so that the beams are parallel to each other and 1.2% below the horizontal position.
• For USA models: The headlights must be adjusted so that the beams are parallel to each other and 0.4% below the horizontal position.

Adjustment

1. Turn the internal adjusting screw for vertical adjustment.

2. For all countries except USA and Canada: Turn the outer adjusting screw for horizontal adjustment.

NOTE: Access to the outer adjusting screw is from the back of the headlamp.

3. Align the headlight adjuster with the second headlight.

4. Adjust the second headlight as described above.

5. Switch off headlights and remove the device for adjustment of headlights.
